How do I switch?

Switching to Onebill from another broadband provider is easy. Just choose the package that best suits your business requirements, give us a call on 0800 652 2545 to place your order – and you're done. We'll ask you to provide us with a few key bits of information, like your existing phone number and contact details, and then we'll start getting you up and running with your new Onebill broadband.

What if I need a new phone line?

We install new lines every day, so this won't be any trouble. All we need is your address and prepayment for the engineer's appointment. Once we've received that, we'll arrange a time that's convenient for you for the engineer to visit your premises and install your new line.

Sometimes, we find a connection into your premises that's no longer used. In these cases, we'll simply restart the line for you. Restarting an existing line is quick and convenient – and, best of all, free.

How do I switch to Onebill?

Switching to Onebill is easy. In fact, you don't even have to do anything. Just sit back, relax, and let us do all the hard work for you.

When you decide to switch to us, we'll contact your current provider to let them know you're transferring your services. Once we've done that, we'll get in touch with you to let you know the date of your switch.

We aim to make switching to Onebill as smooth as possible so that there's minimal disruption to your business. Your pre-programmed Onebill router will arrive before your switch date, and if you've taken a phone package and either haven't moved premises or are on the same exchange you'll also be able to keep your existing number.

We'll let you know when the switch has finished, then all you'll need to do is plug in your router and off you go.

Should I cancel my current broadband service?

If you currently have broadband or fibre, you'll need an active service to switch to Onebill – so don't cancel your current broadband service. If you do, your switchover to Onebill will be delayed.

Once you've switched to us, you should check that your old provider has cancelled your service with them to stop any unnecessary payments being taken.

What equipment will I need?

In order to get business broadband services from Onebill, you'll need:

  • An operating Onebill landline
  • A compatible router (we'll supply you with this when you join Onebill)
  • A microfilter for each active phone socket
Can I use the modem/router I already have?

You can, but we don't recommend it. The Onebill Super Router is the very latest in broadband technology and delivers faster Wi-Fi speeds than standard routers, so it's always best to upgrade. We'll supply you with a pre-configured Onebill router when you sign up for free – all you have to pay for is postage and packaging.

Can I connect more than one computer?

You can connect multiple computers to your Onebill router, but please bear in mind that the speed of your broadband will be affected if lots of devices are connected at once.

What broadband packages are available in my area?

Most exchanges are now available with low-cost next generation networks, so you should be able to get any of our broadband packages in your area. To check, give us a call on 0800 652 2545.
